Beauty and the Beast is a famous fairy tale about true love, the importance of not judging by appeareances and getting saved by giving your life for other's sake. 

This book recounts Andrew Lang's 1889 version of the tale, also included in the Blue Fairy Book: this version is a reworking of the original plot by Madame Gabrielle Suzanne Barbot de Villenueuve, who created it at first.

Illustrations and cover have been created by Italian painter and illustrator Fabiola Bonghi, who also edited this new illustrated edition.
